Shopify Merchant Data Security
At PScan, we respect the absolute privacy of your e-commerce data. PScan is engineered as a secure warehouse scanning wrapper. We do not sell, rent, or distribute any merchant or customer personal identifiers. Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest.
1. Information We Collect
When you install PScan through the Shopify App Store, we request access to standard Shopify API scopes needed to operate warehouse scan-packs. This includes:
- Order Data: Line items, quantities, SKU codes, fulfillment status, and customer shipping addresses to print package labels correctly.
- Inventory & Product Details: Product titles, barcodes (UPC, EAN, custom tags), inventory locations, and variants to verify correct pack matches.
- Staff Profiles: Operator station names created locally by warehouse managers to track staff speeds and dashboard logs.
2. How We Use Collected Data
Your data is accessed exclusively to fulfill packing verifications at active warehouse stations. Specifically:
- To load orders on local packer browser checklists upon barcode inputs.
- To synchronize packed quantities back to Shopify, updating order status to "Fulfilled".
- To monitor packing speeds and generate accurate warehouse operations reports.
3. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain Shopify order metrics solely to display performance KPIs inside your local dashboard. If you choose to uninstall the PScan app, all associated merchant databases are automatically flagged for deletion. In compliance with Shopify App Partner requirements, we execute complete DB hard-purges within 48 hours of receiveing a standard uninstall hook.
